This shorts program is an encore of an extraordinary shorts program from our fall festival. The program includes Jillian Junco’s Killing Myself, Krizz Gautier’s Keep/Delete, Aleksandra Odic’s Frida, and Dir. John Klein and Kate Black-Spence’s Static Space.

“Killing Myself” Directed by Jillian Junco

EVE, a Filipino-American teenage girl, writes a suicide note and leaves the house to get cigarettes for one last smoke. When she meets DAWN who pulls her into a fun ride -- her mother discovers her suicide note, while she rediscovers life.

“Keep/Delete” Directed by Kryzz Gautier

In a future world where memories are handled like computer files, two lovers decide to undergo a procedure and have their entire relationship wiped from their brains.

“Static Space” Directed by Kate Black-Spence, John Klein

Jamie is a young woman living in rural Indiana struggling to figure out her place and identity. When she inadvertently stumbles across a frequency on her ham radio and makes contact with astronaut Noa currently orbiting Earth, the two women are presented with the opportunity to find meaningful connection, even while worlds apart.

“Margins” Directed by Emanuela Boisbouvier

In Los Angeles, California during the tumultuous period of May 2020's BLM movement, an interracial queer couple, Kai and Lucie, navigate the difficulties of supporting and protecting each other through the complexities of racial inequality and immigration issues.


“Frida” Directed by Aleksandra OdiC

An encounter between a young nurse and her patient of the same age, Frida, on the border of professional distance and the desire for closeness.
