Join us for a relaxed and casual conversation with 3 Queer powerhouses at our next Queer Film Alliance meeting. We'll be joined by filmmaker, actor & Intimacy Coordinator, Kristina Arjona (she/they), filmmaker, actor, and stunt performer, Jenna Kanell (they/she), and actor & Emmy nominated stunt performer, Shannon Beshears (she/her). PANELIST BIOS

Kristina Arjona (She/They) proudly queer and Latina, has over 12 years of experience in the film industry as a director, actor, AD, and now certified intimacy coordinator and mental health coordinator. As an IC and MHC, Kristina has worked with studios like Netflix, Showtime, STARZ, Amazon Prime, Paramount Plus, and ABC. She has a BFA in Acting and a BA in Theatrical Design & Production from Elon University, and owns Jump Cut Collective, a production company focused on producing work emphasizing BIPOC, LGBTQ+ & women in front and behind the lens. Her recent directing credits include What Friends Are For (entering the festival circuit), Gatito, Mi Casa, the HBO Latinx Short Film Competition winner that is available on MAX, and her feature debut Christmas with Jerks, available on Amazon & Apple TV. They are about to jump into directing a feature film about a queer vampire, Randy Mandy.

Shannon Beshears (She/Her) is a SAG-AFTRA stunt performer and her recent published works include Captain America Brave New World, Stranger Things Season 4 *Emmy Nominated, Will Trent, Stargirl, and more. She started as a dancer from Illinois/Iowa and used her background to transition into martial arts and stunts. She identifies as pansexual and is excited to join Out on Film!

As an action actor, Jenna Kanell (they / she) has performed while riding motorcycles, stunt driving cars, airborne in harnesses, underwater, hanging from a helicopter, with weapons, and in countless fight scenes. Additionally, Jenna delivered a TEDx Talk on the experience of stepping behind the camera for the first time, and has since written, assistant directed, and produced features, and written and directed numerous award-winning short films with worldwide festival runs.
